Stories

Over the last 170 years, all the photographs produced by the Edward Reeves Studio have been kept and written records have been meticulously maintained.

The vast majority of the images in the archive were commissioned for a reason, and as the Archive Project progresses it is becoming possible to discover what some of the stories are ‘behind the plates’. The results are often surprising and always fascinating.
