THE STORIES BEHIND THE IMAGES

Over the last 170 years, original copies of every image produced by the Edward Reeves Photography studio has been kept and hand-written records have been meticulously maintained. As the Archive Project progresses, and more of the records are digitalised, it is becoming possible to discover the stories ‘behind the plates’ and beyond the lens. The results are often surprising and always fascinating.
